1. Definitions

  • "Service" refers to luxury car rental services provided by Rivenbolt
  • "User" or "Client" refers to any individual who rents a vehicle from Rivenbolt
  • "Vehicle" refers to any automobile rented through Rivenbolt services
  • "Rental Period" refers to the duration from vehicle pick-up to return
  • "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Rivenbolt
  • "Agreement" refers to these Terms & Conditions and any rental contract signed by the Client

2. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a vehicle or using Rivenbolt services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Rivenbolt.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services. Continued use of our services following changes to these terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

3. Eligibility Requirements

3.1 Age and License Requirements

To rent a vehicle from Rivenbolt, you must:

  • Be at least 25 years of age
  • Hold a valid Singapore driving license or international driving permit recognized in Singapore
  • Have held a driving license for a minimum of 2 years
  • Possess a clean driving record (no major violations within past 3 years)
  • Provide valid government-issued identification
  • Hold a major credit card in the driver's name

3.2 Capacity

By using our services, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts and are not prohibited by law from accessing our services.

4. Booking and Reservation

4.1 Reservation Process

  • Reservations can be made via phone, email, or our website contact form
  • All bookings require confirmation from Rivenbolt staff
  • Vehicle availability is subject to confirmation
  • Booking confirmation will be sent via email
  • Full payment or valid credit card authorization required before pick-up

4.2 Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made 48+ hours before pick-up: Full refund
  • Cancellations made 24-48 hours before pick-up: 50% charge
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pick-up: 100% charge
  • No-shows: 100% charge
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Rental Rates

All rental rates are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and include:

  • Vehicle rental for specified duration
  • Comprehensive insurance coverage
  • Specified fuel allowance (varies by package)
  • ERP charges up to specified limits
  • GPS navigation with pre-loaded destinations
  • 24/7 roadside assistance
  • Concierge support (level varies by package)

5.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment accepted via major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
  • Full payment or pre-authorization required before vehicle release
  • Security deposit held on credit card (amount varies by vehicle)
  • Security deposit released within 7 business days after rental conclusion

5.3 Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Fuel usage exceeding included allowance
  • ERP charges exceeding included limits (if applicable)
  • Late return fees (SGD 100 per hour)
  • Damage to vehicle not covered by insurance
  • Traffic violations or parking fines incurred during rental period
  • Cleaning fees for excessive interior soiling
  • Smoking violations (SGD 500)

6. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

6.1 Permitted Use

Rental vehicles may only be used:

  • Within Singapore territory
  • On paved roads in proper condition
  • For personal transportation purposes
  • By authorized drivers listed on rental agreement
  • In compliance with Singapore traffic laws

6.2 Prohibited Activities

You must NOT:

  • Use the vehicle for racing, rallying, or competitive driving
  • Transport illegal goods or substances
  • Allow unauthorized persons to drive the vehicle
  • Sublease or rent the vehicle to third parties
  • Use the vehicle for commercial ride-sharing or taxi services
  • Transport passengers for hire or reward
  • Drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Smoke in the vehicle
  • Transport pets without prior authorization
  • Modify or alter the vehicle in any way
  • Remove or tamper with GPS or tracking equipment

7. Insurance and Liability

7.1 Insurance Coverage

All rental packages include comprehensive insurance coverage as required by Singapore law. Coverage includes third-party liability and damage to the rental vehicle.

7.2 Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for:

  • Damage resulting from prohibited use or negligence
  • Loss or theft of keys or access devices
  • Damage to interior from smoking or excessive soiling
  • Violations of traffic laws and resulting fines
  • Parking violations incurred during rental period

7.3 Accident Procedures

In case of accident:

  1. Contact Singapore Police immediately (if injuries or dispute)
  2. Notify Rivenbolt within 4 hours of incident
  3. Obtain contact information from all parties involved
  4. Take photographs of damage and accident scene
  5. Complete accident report form provided by Rivenbolt
  6. Do not admit liability or sign documents in foreign languages

8. Vehicle Condition and Maintenance

8.1 Pick-up Inspection

Upon vehicle pick-up, clients must inspect the vehicle for existing damage and verify the condition documented in the rental agreement. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately before leaving the premises.

8.2 Client Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper fluid levels (oil, coolant, washer fluid)
  • Monitor tire pressure and report issues immediately
  • Operate vehicle according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Report mechanical issues promptly
  • Keep vehicle reasonably clean during rental period

8.3 Return Condition

Vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received, allowing for normal wear and tear. Fuel level should match pick-up level unless covered by fuel allowance. Interior should be free of excessive dirt or debris.

9. Extensions and Modifications

Rental extensions must be requested at least 24 hours before scheduled return time. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and may incur additional charges. Modifications to rental agreement must be confirmed in writing by Rivenbolt staff.

10. Termination of Rental

10.1 By Client

Clients may terminate rental early by returning the vehicle to our location during business hours. No refunds are provided for early termination.

10.2 By Rivenbolt

We reserve the right to terminate rental immediately if:

  • Client violates terms of this agreement
  • Vehicle is used for prohibited purposes
  • Client provides false information during booking
  • Vehicle poses safety risk due to client actions
  • Payment obligations are not met

11. Limitation of Liability

Rivenbolt provides vehicles and services "as is" without warranties beyond those required by Singapore law. We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of business or opportunity
  • Personal injury not caused by our negligence
  • Damage to personal property left in vehicle
  • Delays or service interruptions due to circumstances beyond our control

Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the rental fees paid for the affected rental period.

12. Indemnification

Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Rivenbolt, its employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from client's use of the vehicle, including but not limited to traffic violations, parking fines, accidents caused by client negligence, and violations of this agreement.

13. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, civil unrest, or public health emergencies. In such cases, rental may be suspended or terminated with pro-rated refunds.

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts.

14.2 Informal Resolution

Before pursuing legal action, parties agree to attempt resolution through direct negotiation. Disputes should first be directed to [email protected] for internal review.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with the rental agreement signed at pick-up, constitute the entire agreement between parties and supersede all prior understandings.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in full effect.

15.3 Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it subsequently.

15.4 Assignment

Client may not assign or transfer rights under this agreement. Rivenbolt may assign this agreement to affiliated companies with notice to client.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes become effective upon posting to our website. Clients with existing reservations will be bound by terms in effect at time of booking.
